I was 22 years old and newly married when I decided to host Thanksgiving dinner for the first time. I had never cooked a turkey before, but I was determined to impress my husband and our guests.
I went to the grocery store and bought the biggest turkey I could find. I brought it home and proudly placed it in the oven.
